Fable 2 is the sequel to the successful game Fable for the Xbox.
Personally, I’ve never played the first Fable game, but I got Fable 2, and although I’ve not yet finished the campaign, I’ve played it enough to get the hang of it in general.
As far as landscape is concerned, its not as big as a game like oblivion, but it is as varied. There are mountains, caves, fields, lakes and everything like that.
Its also pretty interactive, you can show off your talents like dancing or farting. You can even flirt with people and get married, I’m not sure why you’d want to. I done it to get the achievement….then accidentally killed my wife (I swear it wasnt my fault! She followed me and was attacked by a troll!) Now my kid lives in an orphanage. Your faithful dog will follow you everywhere, and even help kill enemies you knock to the ground. Make sure to give him some treats, play fetch and praise him.
The fighting system is absolutly amazing! The X button acts as both the attack and defend button. In most fights you will find yourself fighting at least two enemies, tapping X will cause your character to attack the nearest/targeted enemy while dodging another attack. If you fight like me, and just hit the attack button until everyones dead, then your in for a treat, as continuously hitting X will make your character attack and defend as skillfully as <Whoever your favorite sword weilding hero is>. Guns and magic are also essential to fighting. Guns come in a wide selection, from Blunderbuss to pistols, to rifles, you’ll find what you want. pressing Y fires you gun, and as your skills improve you will be able to hold Y to zoom in and even lock onto your targets. Magic is my favorite thing in a fight, pressing B will use your primary spell, holding it will cause a sidemenu to appear and the longer your charge your attack it will switch through whatever spells you have equiped.
Story wise its not very long, I’ve played it for about 2 hours in total and I’m about halfway through it. But its a good story, and not as repetative as most other new games. When you start the game you are nothing more than a child (Gender is user defined), after the first couple of missions time fast forwards and your an adult, determined to gain revenge on an evil lord who caused you great pain and is determined to destroy the world.
Sharings caring, as the phrase goes:
