Gfire is a third party plugin for Pidgin which allows connect the Xfire network.
Gfire features:
- Friend’s list
- Add & Remove friends
- View friend’s current game (games list updated weekly)
- View friend’s profiles
- Join friend’s server
- Detects games and logs game time
- Set your status as “Away from Keyboard (AFK)”
- Set custom status
It started back in 2005 by a guy called asraniel. By 2006 the project was orphened. But to by delight, Gfire was adopted in March 2008 by chewit and luxus to develop the project further.
You can download it a http://www.gfire.info.
It comes in binary format .exe for windows, .deb for Debain based (Ubuntu) and RPM for Red Hat based linux.
The source is also available for other Linux.
If you are compiling form source make sure you have pidgin-dev installed. I found it in the repository.
